Angel Of Hope (Figurine)
$27.99Add to cartEach day, hope anew
I love the idea of lighting a candle for someone, or for a wish, or a thought keeping it alive, carrying it forward. So this angel is sheltering and protecting a small candle with a little gold-leafed flame. It s important that the flame is small sometimes it s just a little flicker or a fleeting sign that can give you hope. Sometimes for me, focusing on seemingly insignificant things events or happenings that I might ordinarily take for granted it s those things, those little miracles, which can give hope. I wanted Angel of Hope to be a positive piece. Kind of like the little spark that keeps us going -
Surrounded By Love (Figurine)
$30.00Add to cartAbundant love surrounds you
I wanted to make a figure with her face in the flowers, taking them in with her senses smelling then, feeling the petals against her face; feeling safe in that surround. So this piece could say to someone that they are loved by those around them if a person is experiencing difficulty, it could be a reminder of family and friends who are there for them. It could be a romantic way to say that your love is surrounding one special person or just a gift for someone who loves to garden. I like that people read this piece differently. The choice of red poppies was influenced by trips to France, seeing fields of poppies. The red poppy symbolizes remembrance, so this piece could be a tribute to those who served our country. -
My Girls (Figurine)
$42.00Add to cartLooking at you, I see wonder, joy, strength
This piece was directed by the models. The poses that the girls naturally assumed showed their relationship with their dad much better than I could have instructed them. Their father was the anchor the girls fluttered around him. I got a sense of how the girls saw him as strong and reassuring. They looked at him with a my dad can do anything look. The dad was clearly having fun being with his daughters. I wanted to make this a two-way piece the girls look to his strength and stability, and he looks to them as his greatest source of joy. I think the beauty of a good father/daughter relationship is in its duality. I hope the sentiment can be read from either perspective father to daughters, or daughter to father.
